The Gaters wish to add an 18,000 sq.ft.
addition on the back of the new Spears Family YMCA
with a separate Gaters entrance and signage. The facility would include two 94 foot regulation courts, two offices and conference area
and locker rooms. The Conference area would be available for SAT study courses
and academic enrichment. The facility agreement would allow use of the two
existing courts. The YMCA and the Gaters
would enter into a long term agreement and share the
space. The Gaters would have additional gym space during our peak season and
the YMCA would benefit during their peak season. The YMCA would be responsible
for all utilities and maintenance. The Gaters would also employ through the
YMCA a small staff of coaches to provide individual and team skill development.
We have an immediate need for space with ages 9U-13U,
during December through March.
How can I get involved?
Donations are made payable to the “Spears
Family YMCA” and are tax-deductible. Donations of $25,000 or more can be
divided over a four year period. Naming rights
available for the addition, name outside on building. Gaters would retain
rights in the naming process. $150,000, Each Gymnasium is $100,000. Locker
rooms are $35,000 each (total of four), Offices each $25,000 and Conference
room $40,000.
